AstronomAs exhibition at Vytautas Magnus University

On 28 April at 12 noon we invite you to the opening of the exhibition “AstrónomAs” at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Vytautas Magnus University (Universiteto str. 10, Akademija, Kaunas district).

The exhibition, which was initiated by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain in Lithuania and the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astronomy of the Faculty of Physics of Vilnius University (VU FF TFAI), will showcase the contribution of women to astronomical science. The aim of the exhibition (in Lithuanian “Women Astronomers”) is to highlight the role of women and girls in the world of science, to break gender stereotypes, to encourage women to pursue a career in science and to increase young people’s interest in science, especially astronomy.

The exhibition is presented in two languages, Lithuanian and Spanish.

The exhibition comes to Vytautas Magnus University thanks to the cooperation of the Institute of Foreign Languages, the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Natural Sciences.

The exhibition can also be viewed virtually.

The exhibition will be open at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of VMU until 9 May.
