On May 22, a training session organized by the IAU – NASE (International Astronomical Union – Network for Astronomy School Education) will take place at Kaunas Jesuit Gymnasium (Rotušės Sq. 9, Kaunas).
This is an educational initiative by the IAU aimed at helping teachers integrate astronomy into school curricula. NASE’s goal is to train teachers on how to use simple and accessible tools in science classes to teach students about astronomy. Over the past 15 years, IAU-NASE has conducted nearly 500 courses across all continents.
This training is intended for primary and science teachers. It continues the successful remote training on “Astronomy” held in March 2023 and the in-person training on “Astrobiology” held in May 2024.
This time, the focus will be on Astrophysics:

- Astronomy of Invisible Radiation
- Expansion of the Universe
The event in Lithuania is organized by Kaunas Jesuit Gymnasium and the Faculty of Physics at Vilnius University.

May 22: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
The training will be led by expert physics teacher Rigonda Skorulskienė.

Participation is completely free, and certificates will be issued to teachers who complete at least 80% of the program.
