Traditional Lithuanian restaurant at the City Hall. Ideal for people eating very late, since it is working till dawn and the restaurant can offer different dishes from Lithuanian beetroot soup to salmon cutlets every night. Situated in the very crowded Pilies gatve in an area dense with souvenir shops, one might suspect that this place is a bit of a tourist trap. Nevertheless, you get very hearty and tasty Lithuanian food there served by waitresses and waiters in Lithuanian dresses. Still reasonably priced. Riverside restaurant at the entrance to the Užupis quarter. Although the food has been a bit criticised during the last summer by reviewers and the service can be a bit Soviet-style, nothing beats the location oof the terrace overlooking the Vilnia river. Šnekutis
Well-known bar, with a somewhat eccentric owner. There are three of these placs now in Vilnius, the most interesting is probably the one in Užupis with a terrace overlooking the Vilnia valley. Apart from a good selection of Lithuanian beers, they serve Lithuanian traditional meals: stuffed cabbage, potatoe pie with pig's feet or ears, smoked pigs ears with mustard and spices and similar.
